A few months back, we posted an article featuring Rihanna braving the LA winter weather in a Yigal Azrouel Fair Isle Open Sweater Coat. Apparently, Rihanna was not the only fan of this cozy and rich looking body warmer because we spotted the same sweater coat on Hilary Duff early last month:

We are not surprised why stars like Rihanna and Hilary are loving this kind of sweater. Its versatility stretches far and wide, very much unlike its forefather, the conventional sweater. The open and draped front adds  modern flair to the conventional knit patterns;  it goes well with almost any outfit; and its long length allows it to be a great cover up or wrap anytime you are feeling cold, regardless of season.

Of course, this goes without saying that the Fair Isle knitted patterns on the sweater give it an authentic Nordic feel.
